Hold the Moon in your hands with Moon Globe. This app transforms your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad into a precise instrument for observing Earth's Moon. By combining satellite imagery and topographic laser altimeter data, Moon Globe provides a realistic 3D representation of the Moon's surface with accurate lighting.

With its intuitive multitouch screen, you can easily manipulate the view. Spin above the lunar surface or switch to Telescope mode to see the Moon from your specific location on Earth. You can even adjust the display time and witness the shifting sunlight over the lunar landscape. Additionally, a floating "tag cloud" above the surface provides labels for terrain features and spacecraft; simply tap on any label to discover more about that particular feature. Moreover, Moon Globe includes a dynamic sky compass that displays the positions of the Moon and Sun in the sky.

This app offers a sophisticated astronomy simulation aimed at enhancing your knowledge about Earth's Moon. It is available for free, allowing you to impress your friends with the remarkable capabilities of your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad.
